5 Easy Ways to Choose To Be Nice for the Holidays

Now that email and social media have become so commonplace in our lives, the written word has gone almost forgotten. This holiday season, send handwritten holiday cards. They will be sure to put a smile on every one of your recipient’s faces. It’s nice to know that someone cares about you enough to take the time to write you a letter and not just post on your wall.

2. Donate

It doesn’t matter where or how much! Whatever you have to give. Food banks are a great place to donate canned goods during the holidays. Also, many organizations collect toys for children, such as Toys for Tots.

3. Volunteer

If it isn’t in your budget to donate this holiday season, you can always donate your time! A lot of hospitals need volunteers during the holidays as well as soup kitchens. Even an hour or two helps!

4. Do something nice for those everyday people in your life.

Think mailman, bus driver, neighbors… Those people that you may interact with all the time and don’t realize it! You don’t need to do anything extravagant, but even a nice card or some homemade cookies are a great way to show you appreciate them.

5. Bring holiday cheer into your office.
